Welcome to MB Mason Design, a one-man graphic and Web design studio located in
Tucson, AZ run by Michael B. Mason. I provide design solutions for software applications,
the Web and for print. This site serves as my online portfolio and contains numerous
examples of my work.
I studied Graphic Design at Arizona State University and Computer Graphics and Video
Production at Collins College (formerly the Al Collins Graphic Design School) in Tempe,
AZ. These were the days before Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash and PDF.
I also studied Photography at Scottsdale Community College in Scottsdale, AZ, and Interior
Design and Art History at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, California. I am a self taught
painter and paper maker, drawing inspiration from the San Francisco and New York schools
of abstract expressionism. I have also dabble in furniture design and have had the good
fortune to have several pieces commissioned for production.
My weapons of choice when attacking a design project often include (in no specific order)
Adobe Fireworks CS4, Photoshop CS2, Illustrator CS2, Flash CS4, InDesign CS2, Solid
Capture and Axialis IconWorkshop 6.
